To each there own but comparing these two vehicles and wondering why X drivers wouldn't take the SS (simply because of cost for the most part) is like asking a Porsche TT owner why they didn't take the Z06 Corvette at half the price (Corvette is just as quick and just as good in the corners). These types of questions are completely subjective.

I'm also wondering why the assumption that anyone in a BMW is a snob. I have had 3 Bimmers and every person I have dealt with has never acted snobbish. Maybe some people are buying these vehicles for the wrong reasons. Given you can see a BMW on every single street corner, I'm not really getting the whole "BMW owners are snob" factors. I also do not understand why the word snob is appended to any vehicle that cost more then $40K. IMO.
