First one is that I will have to get a replacement radio from Vaheh, because the one that he sent me is not working, it has a problem with the tunner, can't get any radio stations to tune in. I took the car apart a few times trying to figure it out, I though was the antenna connection behinde the C pillar, and in the end I plugged in my old radio back and it worked, so is not the cable and is the radio. I will have to call him tomorrow to get a replacement radio.
Second problem is that I get a blank screen, ( back light screen lights up) and I can control the radio but not the nav drive. The drive in the back is blinking red and then solid red... tried to insert a map cd or even a firmware cd and it's tring to read it for about 30 seconds and then it rejects the CD/DVD. Any thoughts? Everything is wired in properly ( I doubled, triple checked) one wire going in the back of the high intrument cluster and the second wire is going to the light module. ground is properly connected.
I'm wondering if is a bad drive MK4 or 16:9 screen? How can isolate the problem? Can I use something else for video input to get it to display something on the 16:9 screen?
A easy way will be if I can try a different MK4 drive from someone, anybody in San Jose bay area that is willing to help?
Another concern that I had was that my car is not programmed or coded for the navi-retrofit by the dealer. I think I should be able to see something on the screen even if is not programmed yet, correct? thinking of the IBUS, KLINE protocol....

Any thoughs, ideas, what else can I try to isolate the problem will be very appreciated.
On the radio module issue, did you check to see if it is in USA mode? See http://www.xoutpost.com/showarticle-236.html. Note, though, that if you aren't getting a picture on the nav screen then this is going to be tough to do.

As for the screen itself, did you first do a check of all of the wiring and components prior to running in the new harness? It sounds like a possible connection problem between the MkIV and the nav screen.
