this thread may be old but...
my 02 started making noise in the back as though the suspension piece is going. very much like some other thread with sub frame bushing problem.

steps I took
drive it with the hatch open over the same road. - no noise
closed the hatch, re-drove over the same road. - noise
adjusted the rubber,..1/4 turn ccw. then tighten torx screw. this lasted for about a week.
went to dealer, placed an order for the two rubbers, one on each side.
46 dollars each.
they seem to have re designed the unit. it is no longer adjustable, but sprung.
you need to remove the access panels on either side of the interior and using a big socket, replace the assembly.
two weeks... no rattle.
