If you want, you can take one of the other "acid reducers" (such as Zantac, Pepcid or Tagamet) at bedtime, and continue to take the Prilosec in the morning. That should suppress the acid enough to allow healing. It just takes several days. If you need to supplement with some Tums or something like that interspersed throughout the day, go ahead.

All this is assuming you have normal kidney and liver function, etc. If you die, please tell your heirs not to sue me.
