During software update, I received a message "Inserted CD is defective, please remove CD and confirm with OK".

I removed CD and now I only have black screen on my display.
and you have a mk4 dvd nav computer yes?

I used a quality Verbatim CD, burned with ImgBurn at lowest speed and with verification.

Is this a matter of:
- faulty DVD drive in my car
- rubbish CD
- errors during CD burning (ImgBurn shown no errors during verification)
- problem with CD image I downloaded
Well, it will be one of the above.

Any advice, please?

Thanks, best regards
Try this, mk4 only MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

-

This is an OEM v32 in mode2/form format (so ok for mk3 and mk4) this should return the nav computer to OEM MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service do this first then try above
