I got it. The new version of The Odd Couple is called 2 and a half men. Same exact concept, except set in Malibu and they added in the kid, they're brothers instead of friends, and instead of Oscar being a sports writer, Charlie is a jingle writer. Instead of Felix being a very metrosexual photographer, Alan is a chiropractor. So, despite all of those changes, the concept is exactly the same 2 completely opposite men living together after one gets thrown out by his ex wife. Hilarity ensues

In one of the 2.5 men episodes this season, Charlie is watching the odd couple and Alan scoffs at it saying "that could never happen in real life".
