Identification GM transmission

GM Transmission identification codes on tranny green plate/tag regarding family (5L40E) are similar, only fabrication date and Alpha code are different.

Is there any difference in torque coverter, input/output shaft, external dimensions, other bell house dimensions ..... which could jeopardize this planned swap?
