I use an old 40GB 4thGen iPod with the docking base in my car with the AUX Input. The benefit of using the line out of the docking base is that you get level sound without having to jack up the volume on the ipod itself. One thing I've noticed over the last few days is that some of the speakers start to go in-and-out resulting in a vertigo inducing music experience. After fiddling with the wire with no results, I've figured out that something in the automatic shifter is interfering with the sound. If I wiggle the shifter, or shift from Reverse down to Drive, the sound returns to full stereo and then back out when returned to a certain position. Seems weird to me that something in the shifter would cause enough interference to affect the AUX input.

Anyone else experience AUX input weirdness?
