Glad you got it fixed. Just a suggestion: Next time, take a deep breath, explain the problem to the dealer, let them fix it, and keep taking deep breaths. It isn't worth getting stressed out over. It wasn't a simple switch or wiring problem, it was apparently within a harness. They searched for the problem, they escalated to BMW for technical assistance, they fixed it under warranty, and they gave you a free loaner while all that went on. Yes, it would be better if it had never happened, but stuff happens on overly compex cars. It will happen again. Sending multiple not-so-pleasant emails marks you to the dealer as "that @#$@#$#@ customer". Save that escalation effort for when you really need it. Being friends with the dealer gets you further. Just my $0.02.
