J: Nice pics of a couple pretty cool cars, thanks!
Dunno, we may be in denial here in US, vis a vis the petro price situ.
I realize 10 million car buyers aren't running out today to toss their F150s, SUVs, etc., for hybrids or midgiecars, but cool city type cars that are "tolerable" on less than multi-state runs should be peaking somebody's interest.
It seems to me, almost regardless of whom one is or does, it makes some sense to start thinking of some kinda ride that does better than 12-14 city and maybe, 17-18 on the hwy. The Euros will remind us that they've been paying 3.75 to 5 bucks+ for years, but that diff is mostly taxes and the avg Euro doesn't make a Edinburgh to Madrid run for a longish weekend.
Not tree hugging or "drive whatcha want" bashing...but, I doubt anyone's kids here, will be driving HumVees in the 2020s.
OTOH, we could take all the oil we want/need by sunset, but that's another arm wrestle, lol! (YankeeDawg remark for today.)
