FWIW There is a fair amount of rhythmic (pumping?) noises in our 35d's engine compartment almost every time we shut her down. I've always
assumed this was related to the 35d exhaust system. Either pumping urea from the storage tank to the active tank or burning off the particulates in the filter or both.
Does anyone know what the 35d is doing just after engine shut down?

p.s. we have a little over 4k miles on the 35d. Nearly all of our driving involves round trips between 25 and 100+mi. It has not gotten to freezing temps yet here in the Texas Hill Country.
