As I posted in another thread I bought a new OBD II code scanner to capture the code(s) prior to taking our X5 35d into the dealer. The only code found was P007B which roughly sounds like a faulty Air Temp Sensor. I'm guessing this is the same one that failed on your 35d.

Penguin tracked down a likely part on RealOEM...

Temperature sensor air 113627812741 $25.98

Could you confirm whether this is the part number of the Air Temp Sensor you had to wait so long for? I'd really appreciate it. And I'm pretty sure others would too
