Hello everyone, I have been out of town for the past 3 days, I left the X parked and its been getting really cold down here in New York lately. Anyways, after 3 days of being parked I started the X up and after like 20 seconds of warming up the entire X started shaking up and the SES light was blinking on and off constantly until the car eventually became stable again. The shaking stopped and the SES light went away. So I was happy and yet worried at the same time.
Anyways this morning I start the X up again and i get a BIT shaking and an error on my cluster something about EXT Temp 21 degrees. I'm assuming its just warning me that their might be icy roads ahead? **Crossing fingers**.
Now, heres the most annoying part of it all. Thankfully the car is running and driving fine, it doesn't have any issues apart from the following one: the stupid FOB key. As I went towards the X I noticed that it in no way would respond to the key. which ever button I press I get 0 reaction from the car itself. I tend to make sure that RED light under the rear view mirror stays on solid red when i hold down the lock button but now I get nothing. I tried reprogramming it, i tried 2 of the 3 methods on the site and none of them work. I have reprogrammed the key in the past with a bit of trouble but i eventually got it to work, this time around its NOT working at all
Could the cold weather be a cause of all this? If not then could it be because i have a hole bunch of stuff in the trunk of the X somehow messing up the signal from the key to the module?
Please can someone help me out?! Thanks so much!
