You guys are scaring me now... I do have 2008 though, so might not have the same "bad batch" sensor, but my CEL came on around 3 weeks ago, stayed for 10 mins and then went off after I've shutdown the car, re-tighten the fuel cap, and then restarted the car. It was ~30 miles after a fillup, and I was running the engine during fueling, so I just hope it was related to that and nothing more serious... I have a 1000-mile trip coming up in 2 weeks up to Killington VT, gotta have my X for transportation so that I can fit all the stuff wife packs for her and 2 girls
That being said, I have 2010 335xi on order (just finished build and is en-route to port), and there are LOTS (and I mean LOTS) of issues with the high pressure fuel pump on those. I mean some people change them every 3000 miles.... Dunno, now I am just to anxious about BMW reliability, perhaps need to go back to Honda
