Here are some answers to your requests:
I´m sorry, but I do not know, how the fixture is working but I will ask him (I didn´t see it cause he did it in his lab when I was busy with my nav)
The rings are clipsed into the frame and fitted absolutely perfect. I bought them in ebay some months ago for around 15€
My friend offered me a complete ///M function as for the lighting of rpm, too. This would have costed 100,-€ more but I thought this would not be necessary. So it is not lighted at all now.
At night the speedo looks great, the red needles make a special light, but well fitting to the rest of the interior.
The adaption of the speedo has been doen also...of course... the scale is different with the speedo.
But as I heard some times from him, changing the speedo with the needles is very tricky, you can ruin them very fast!
