I would much rather be driving on a road with people who know how to drive in the snow with less the ideal tires than I would people who don't change their driving style with studded snow tires.

An AWD car can get around just find especially in deep snow (ice can really make things difficult) if the driver knows how to stop the vehicle without barely using the brakes...
