I have a 2005 X5 4.4is
I live in San Francisco and have noticed loud clicks in the transmission when driving up steep hills. As I approach an intersection i slow down to look both ways before accelerating again. as soon as I accelerate the gears seem to slip or produce a loud cracking(click) sound. This doesn't always happen. Not sure if this is normal or if there is something wrong with transmission?
