Sony players are OK, but I found most of them to have weak headphone drivers (definitely not up to par with Cowon in terms of sound quality). The same goes for Ipod...just OK.
So...if you want to take the gamble on the iAudio X5, make sure to deal with a quality company that have a good return policy as ecost's reputation is very questionable.
Do keep us posted on whatever you decide as I'm very much in the same boat as you are...looking for a 60GB or larger player. |
you just happened to get a lemon, i've got the iaudio x5L 60 as do 3 of my friends and it's rock solid. The build quality is fine.
Also, under NO circumstances should you buy anything from ecost.com they, in a word, suck
