Thanks for the information and welcomes! You know, the only machine I have had extensive seat time in (in this category) is the G55. That thing is a beast when you mash the pedal. The exhaust sound is so intoxicating you wanna floor it again and again it is that deep and gutteral. However, it is far from a drivers car, even for an SUV. Youd think that over the 30 years of production they would have realized and corrected the major flaws it has (imo). The brake and gas pedals in, the 05 model atleast, are strange. The gas is further ahead of the brake pedal leaving you having to retract your leg and uncomfortably long way to hit the brake. The handling is absolutely miserable, and the G55 is so springy and bouncy a road trip becomes an all out nuisance after a couple hours. Forget the transmisssion. On the other hand the x5m is top everywhere the G is a flop (ok besides real offroading).
I love modern road tanks, and the G55 as well as the x5m surely pass for them. However, the x5m has the advantage of insane power combined with handling, which, for a drivers machine, is a must.

All we need is to "correct" the exhaust sound and we're ready to rumble!
Just rambling....!
