I agree that Medicare (and to a greater extent Medicaid) reimbursement is ridiculous. If I had a medical practice, I don't think that I'd partipate.

At the same time, there clearly is significant over billing which often requires investigation. Your practice may have been inappropriately targeted, at the same time, submitting the documentation on the amputations should have caused that claim to be immediately dropped.
