Maybe print out this post and give it to your dealer. A battery tender should not be required. If you're having issues with your battery discharging, something is not right, especially in light of the numerous responses by others who are having no such problem.

I have always seen new cars parked inside the showroom on display being out on trickle chargers and have always secretly wondered why!!! may be because they stay there for months ....but then, I have been away from my cars for more than 30 days at a time and they always started back up...even the Honda Accord that I had when I was in college started up after I came back from a long summer vacation....
