Southern and Central VA have been hit hard compared to Northern VA. Here in my town, not only are there beggars at intersections asking for money, but also many decent looking folks holding up signs that say "I WANT A JOB" or "LOOKING FOR EMPLOYMENT". Also a lot of telephone poles and bulletin boards have adverts of individuals seeking employment. It's tough.
