I have used a site like that in the past.
It was $20 to buy in and you get put on a list. Depending on the number of people, every 60 people that buy in, the next person on the list will get the item.
For that site tho, usually the first 50 people got the item.

There are lots of scams, but for $0.60, why not give it a shot?
