Interesting flashback;;

Following the tradition of the 404, the Peugoet 504 became just as highly rated in
the world rallying scene by winning the Safari, Morocco and Bandama (Ivory Coast) Rallies in 1975, 1976 and 1978 respectively.

I bought the diesel in 1976 and to this day it was hands down one of the best vehicles i have ever owned. Way ahead of it's time in the way it was equipped.
