This topic has come up on the JukeBox before, sometimes couched in other terms.
Imo, and many here would agree, the population of used/very used Xs in the mkt allows for buyers to "dip in"
at price levels well below the oe prices. Thus, the "how do I check my oil" to "do these 24 inchers look good"
ratio increases by the year.
None of that is wrong or not cool or incorrect, (though the basic & inane questions drive many of us crazy).
Not trying to interpret the OP's post, but a lot of Xs are being bought used, by the non-Buffy&Biff crowd or,
the BMW "purists" group, (whatever that means), imo.
