In the U.S. the Superbowl is a huge party night. If you don't have any personal interest in the two teams playing (many don't as ther are plenty of other teams to root for) the commercials and socializing are even more fun. It is probably the biggest advertising night of the year.

I will agree with you as far as the rules go. I don't understand Aussie Rules one bit. NFL is what I understand.

I do know that some Aussie players seem to migrate over to the NFL because as punters and place kickers they can extend their careers a decade or more.
