Also, throwing this in for good measure. Warming up your car in the morning is fine, but remember...that transmission is still cold. So just because the engine is up to temp, that doesn't mean to start redlight racing when you first leave the house. Be just as gentle on the trans when it's cold as if you were if the engine was still cold as well. I don't usually warm the engine up, I just hop in a go, never revving over 3k like it says in the E34 M5's owners manual...and that car is still running like a champ w/ almost 200k.
