Been reading some unhappy owner comments just thought i would throw my 2 bobs worth in. I took delivery of my X5 diesel in October 2007 heaps of extras but stayed with the 18" rims, I put on self levelling suspension, comfort seats , xenon lights, GPS, rear camera, phone, sun roof, running boards, adapative head lights, high beam assist, tow bar and electric brake wiring and controller, luggae mats, external mirrors, mud flaps, cargo net thats about it. Space Grey Black upholstery.Had body coated and interior treated as well. Bamboo dark trim ohh and a diesel. Only 30,000 km up mainly trips tows a caravan like a dream around 13.5L per 100k. general running around 8.5l 100K. Never had a problem except for a programming error dealer forgot to allow for towing caravan cooling would not work until re programmed. BMW gave me a work around while i was on the road and it all worked. My opinion, looks great, drives terrific, quiet and efficient. Had a momentary lapse of concemntration passing another van put foot down and looked at speed 120km hmmm it can pull. Happy owner.
