Hey guys. What this module does is it turns your cd changer input into a standard auxillary line input. You can connect any standard audio source via the two RCA cables attached to this unit. If you don't have a CD changer, most likely the wiring harness is bundled up in the trunk where the CD changer would be. You simply plug it in, and go. If you have a CD changer, you won't be able to use it, but you can connect any other audio source like an iPOD or other MP3 player. This unit specifically works with the DSP system, though I am pretty sure it also works in NON-DSP systems as well (you just simply don't use the DSP module that is included).

Also, this unit works on MANY models of bmw includling E46 (3 series) and E39 (5 series) and 7 series (please see the blitzsafe website at www.blitzsafe.com for the application guide.)
