SilentSea:

Sorry that I can't post any feedback yet on the installation.

I was "Tail-End Charlie", the last (I think) person to get in on the first buy. Everything that Raymond (us_matrix) did was first class, and shipped (by Raymond) promptly. So, I have the video interface unit.

Unfortunately, the Chinese had the audacity to schedule their New Year's celebration to conflict with their shipping of the camera. So we are delayed about one more week waiting for the Chinese to ship the camera.

I will post more information as soon as I get the camera and do the installation. Meanwhile, I suggest that you contact us_martix and have him send you the installation information package. I have a 2008 X5, but I understand that the major difference in the 2010 is that one plug is round, rather than flat. I'm not sure how they are handling that, either with an adapter and a new cable or with a different jack on the video interface unit. Maybe us_matrix can also give you more information on that.

One word of caution if you haven't read the entire thread. The price us_matrix is charging ($320.00 for video unit, plus $15.00 for shipping for the 2007-2009, $350 plus shipping for the 2010) DOES NOT include the camera (another $79, shipping included). That is clear in the thread, but only if you have read the whole thing.

Jim M.
