Saw 'Reduce Engine Power' after (mis-)installing PTronic
I've seen the reduce engine power light before. It happened after I installed a PTronic unit on my X5 35d. I turns out I didn't have the connections seated all the way. One if forced the connections together even more, the light went away.

This is at least one instance where it had nothing to do with fuel.
