If you have to rely on mods to get involved, it becomes impossible to moderate (or it is called bimmerforums)...it is much better when other members provide the guidance, set the tone, correct and guide...because then it becomes a forum of people developing a shared concept of the community in which they want to participate. Folks that are reading, following an issue- perhaps not participating- develop an understanding of what the rest of the members expect and allow.

I am sure the moderators have seen this thread (you can report it, as I am sure you know) but perhaps they are hoping all parties involved will settle down and recognize that there is a consensus here - where I think the members and moderators sensibilities coincide.
