Not true. A CPO warranty is only transferable in private party purchases. As soon as a dealer claims the title, it is finito. It probably was a CPO when traded in to Carmax which is why BMW records it as a CPO vehicle. You don't have the CPO paperwork which is signed by the dealer who originally writes the CPO, you would have that if you bought it from a private party.
