Again, if CARMAX is where you bought it, it is not CPO'd anymore, regardless if it was before.

A CPO warranty does not follow the vehicle where ever it may go, by default, like the original factory warranty. Even if BMW had taken the car back from the individual with the original CPO, they would have to certify it again. This was the case in 2006, I have heard that BMW may allow you now to file a transfer fee to keep the CPO, but you'd have to get that from a BMW dealer. One other item I read was that BMW CPO, if bought from a non-BMW dealer, had to get registered with BMW within 30 days to maintain the CPO.
