Just scanning the article again, I saw the reference to Gretzky. He carried the torch down Georgia street to light the outdoor cauldron, after
Rick Hansen, Nancy Green, Steve Nash, and others carried it into the stadium for the opening ceremony. Great parties that started that night are still going on.
