Thanks a heap guys. I tested a mate's MKIV in my car, and turns out the loom was the right one. The dealer told me that my car was not Nav'd from the factory, but for some reason, the loom works. I have TV, so maybe they use the same loom.

So, based on the successful test of Mates MKIV, I ordered the same model off ebay for 700$. It arrived today; I plugged it in. Worked first crack!

I had rung the dealer, and they told me 2200$, plus loom & installation, plus up to 5 hours for recoding etc.

This forum, and 700$ later I have nav!

Brilliant.

To other people in my situation, if you have the purple and blue connectors and a GPS wire hanging down, you might find if you test a MKIV, it just works! Wuhoo
