You just said context counts, context is...I was talking about 2010 not 2000. And what I mean by 'dismantling' is this, the public had zero issues in the late 1990's with the media ripping apart domestic auto makers but to have congressional folks come out and say 'take it easy on Toyota'? Please.

I say this because I was in college during the Ford debacle and was doing speech debates on Ford/Firestone and the media impact on the product. Just pushing against the grain IMO "we" seem to be far more favorable as a group when it is a foreign industry that comes under fire, and far harder on the USA version. This is a total side bar now, but just look at all the threads on this forum that attempt to blame E53 issues on being built in the USA Again, not to wrestle the point but I see a bias, and that is where I was going in post #3.

And to the one other guy who keeps trying to insinuate that hearing on Toyota have something to do with ObamaMotors, ah, so is there ObamaBaseball and ObamaOil and ObamaBCS This is the one instance where political ideals have very little to do with the topic.
