I bought an A\C compressor coil from ebay to install on my Calsonic csv717 compressor 2003 6.0L X5. I have few questions for the forum. The old coil has a diode in it, does anyone knows the type and part number? If I replaced the diode how can I test if the OEM coil works?
If I installed the new coil which does not have a diode, will this be a problem to the system? The original coil has a locator pin on the back to set in place when installing to the compressor, the new coil does not, will this new coil stay put if it engages the clutch when AC it on? And has anyone installed/replace the OEM compressor coil and do you know of any problems? Thanks in advance.
