The brand new F01 and F10 models have gone to Tele Atlas data on the hard drive. However, all of BMW's other new models still rely on the DVD map disks that Navteq used to produce. So, if you were to go and buy a new 650i or X5today, the newest map disk BMW could give you is 16 months old.

I am hoping that Tele Atlas will pick up the disks for the US. Maybe they will be more price-competative too. I can always dream.
