What about maybe doing some tweaking to last available maps utilizing updated NAVTEQ maps available for other devices. (maybe a reverse engineering). The current OS DVD's have already been modded a bit with graphics etc...whats the deal with upgrading the specific maps on the map DVD's/CD's?

I have the newest DVD (from 2009) for my 2006 E83 and those have never been updated with information from 2007-8. My CE based "portable" devices (self contained) using NAVTEQ have been updated. Would the formats of the maps be somewhat similiar or convertable?
