You may be right. I personally have not been there.
But I also have spoken with some Indian colleagues
about the issue and while there have been some
changes they say it still exist. This article explains

I have few friends from there and none have arranged marriages. I am told things have changed over there.
Caste system may exist in rural areas and old cities but I don't think in big cities.
