StumpyPete is on a distinguished road
You have the same issue as I had, which had nothing to do with the mobile phone. The Audio would go off and on randomly, and then it eventually went off completely for three weeks (whilst I waited for a dealer appointment!!). Anyway the tech unplugged all the wiring and plugged it back in again and the problem was solved. He reckoned that there was a bad connection which was connecting and disconnecting whilst driving. I eventually got the tech to drive around in the car for 30 mins to replicate the problem. The movement was an essential part of the problem. Anyway it went away - however I do still have a slight issue in that all audio is lost now when the bootlid (trunk) is opened - which is really weird, and suggests that there is a wiring short somewhere. I am waiting for two foglight clusters to arrive at the dealer to replace my current faulty ones, and once they arrive they will diagnose the audio problem - the tech seems to think the two are related, given that the only wiring going into the bootlid is for the lights.
