2) is there a way in increase/decrease the splash screen time?
1. Splash screen shows on COLD BOOT only.
Warm boot occurs when nav is in standby mode
Cold boot occurs after nav has totally shut down (full power off)
Standby occurs when ign off but databus still active, or less than 60s after bus has gone idle.
Total shut down occurs after ign off, and databus has been idle (no traffic) for 60 seconds or more.

To test: open boot and observe nav. Turn ign off, go to boot and watch nav. Wait. The red LED will be blinking and still on (nav in standby), waiting for 60s timeout. After 60s of car sitting there doing nothing, the nav LED will do some rapid blinking (writing to flash memory) and then go out. As soon as the LED is off, the nav has done a total shut down.

For a start up after total shut down, the nav must boot from cold (COLD BOOT), and this is the time period that the splash screen is shown

The nav is designed like this so that the nav only needs to warm reboot after brief ign off periods - like refueling, or just stopping and starting the engine

2) No, to changing the boot time period is not possible. Why would you want to anyway?
