Sorry to hijack the thread.

Just wondering if anyone has the 6FL USB/audio interface option? If so, did you receive a "Y" cable with it free? I believe this cable is to connect an ipod/iphone via USB so it can be controlled via iDrive, and steering wheel volume controls.

I've tried plugging the Apple USB cable my ipod touch (have also tried my iphone without success) into the USB slot in armrest console and glovebox, but iDrive displays it as 'Not Supported' or 'Reading...' and does nothing.

I've told my dealer and he said I would need a "Y" cable from BMW, which they can order in - he did not say but I'm sure they will try to charge me for it. From what I've read here, those in the USA get this cable included with 6FL.

If you bought this cable, how much and where?
