If I had to ride a 45 pound bike it would do more than just my back in. I guess if you only ride downhill....
Our roadbikes are 15-16 pounds each. Our racing tandem holds two, and is still only 30 lbs plus pedals. It is a one person loading job onto the X5 or X3.
