For the mk4 you need to edit the navboot file, and its under the rom_icon tab (I think). its about the 14 entry down.
I have tried searching for the navboot file and i can not locate it anywhere. =( Ive looked in all folders as well as subfolders. 
You need to hex edit the 2 .tbl files is the mk4/101 dir.

Do you think its possible If i send you an M image for the splash and i could paypal you to do this to version 10.02. I dont know how to use the Hex programs either, and they are all free to try but must be bought.
