OK... so here is the conclusion of my story. This didn't sound like a transmission issue as the previous shop claimed. So I went to BMW dealer for second opinion because I know they always shoot straight with me. Turns out they localized the vibration to the left front half axle. They just replaced the one side and car drives perfect now.
