pete_c is on a distinguished road
Here is a picture of my "legacy" setup. I put the interface in a small box and made an opening for the USB port. I used an "old" 3.5 " floppy drive cable and custom made IBUS splitter. One end going into the Sirius SAT box. The blue cable is my 12VDC Ignition on cable. The connection is located in the drivers side NAV compartment behind the tail light connections. Also included is a picture of the compartment. Top is GPS DVD NAV unit, Sirius Module, Combo IBUS/Video Module and on the bottom is the Bluetooth module. Also is a picture of the legacy Resler USB interface. I found it easier to loosen the entire bracket dropping the assembly forward than removing each component to get to the wiring.
