Just to add some comedic fuel to the fire, the windows XP machine at my house has been hit hard by a nasty trojan and some rouge spyware software (xp defender) to the point that it can't even go online or run half the programs on it... so I'm having to use my still completely trouble free iMac to download the needed programs to get rid of these problems and transfer it to the windows machine via cd.
Not that I'm a brand loyalty fanboy as we have everything at my house... XP, Vista, windows 7, and my old mac with OSX. The only reason I ever thought to get a mac was when I wanted to throw my windows machine out of the window daily from problems. I had to completely reformat and reinstall windows on more than one occasion in the past, not a problem with the apple product. Though I do plan on upgrading the OS from tiger to snow leopard just so I can use the new magic mouse.
