The BSW sub uses an 8" sub of good quality, that does better than you'd think and requires very little modification. The JL uses a 10" of a lower stature (for fitment), but also required the inner lining to be removed from the rear side cover door. I don't think anyone on here has had both to make a good comparison, but I guess a decision made should be influenced by what kind of music you listen to and at what volume levels etc. because each setup will handle slightly different.
